Privacy policy

Short version: you type details to get a letter. We don’t make accounts, use cookies or keep your letter. Here’s the full detail.

Who we are

Redress (“we”, “us”) is a small UK-based service that helps people write complaint letters. We are the “controller” of the personal data described below. You can contact us at websitebuilds01@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

We don’t ask you to create an account. We don’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Our lawful basis

We use your details to provide the letter you asked for (performing a service you requested) and to keep the service secure and working (our legitimate interests).

Who your details go to

We don’t sell your data or use it for marketing. Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, using the safeguards they describe in their own terms.

How long we keep it

We do not keep your letter or the details you type. They are used to write the letter and then they are gone from our side. IP counters expire after about 25 hours. Google and Cloudflare keep data according to their own policies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, and ask for a copy. Because we keep so little, there may be nothing to show, but just ask using the email above and we will reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Age

Redress is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change how we use your data we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
